Regenerative Medicine Masterclass with Flavio Refrigeri — 22 August 2026
Skymedic Academy, 1A Fortess Road, London NW5 1AA
"Regenerative" covers a lot of ground, and that's part of the problem. Exosomes, PDRN, hyaluronic acid biostimulators and photobiodynamic therapy sit under the same umbrella but work through different mechanisms, at different depths, for different patients.
On Saturday 22nd August 2026, Skymedic Academy hosts a full-day CPD-certified masterclass cutting through exactly that. It's protocol-led and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on complications awareness. Delegates leave with protocols they can use in clinic the following week.
About your trainer
Flavio Refrigeri, The Aesthetologist®, is one of the most respected trainers working in UK medical aesthetics today. He holds an MSc and is Level 7 Qualified, a GDC-Registered DCP, a DET Assessor and Educator, an MSET member, and a Complications Management Specialist.
His teaching style is practical and unapologetically hands-on, with patient safety and complications awareness running through the whole day — an area too often treated as an afterthought in regenerative training.
What you'll be working with
Exo Ox — plant exosome technology
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that act as messengers between cells, carrying proteins, lipids, RNA and signalling molecules that influence how surrounding cells behave.
Exo Ox uses plant-derived exosomes, grown under controlled laboratory conditions and applied topically as drug delivery after microneedling or laser. It's the only multi-exosome system on the market, combining two or three exosome types per formulation across five specialities:
- Regenerative — Centella Asiatica exosomes with 14 bioactive peptides and hyaluronic acid
- Clear — Quora Noni, Centella Asiatica and CBD, for skin with active acne
Meso Ox — PDRN + Niacinamide + mRNA
PDRN is a salmon-derived DNA fragment that supplies nucleotides for the repair of UV- and ROS-damaged DNA, stimulates fibroblasts to reactivate type I collagen synthesis, and modulates pro-inflammatory cytokines. It's strongest in compromised skin quality, post-procedure recovery and periocular work.
A PDRN homecare ampoule — with CHP-9, NAD+ and Copper Tripeptide-1 — extends the clinical effect between sessions.
Total Densify I, II & III
Not one product used three ways, but three hyaluronic acid formulations working at three depths in the same face, all built on Cross-Minerhyal technology: high-purity HA combined with 97.5% alkaline thermal water rich in antioxidant minerals.
Densify (16 mg/ml, non cross-linked, five molecular weights) works in the superficial dermis, hydrating and strengthening the skin barrier. Densify II (25 mg/ml, low cross-linked, 12% free HA) works in the mid-dermis, driving neocollagenesis and angiogenesis. Densify III (64 mg/2 ml ultra-pure free HA across three molecular weights) is the newest and deepest-acting — a non-inflammatory biostimulator that anchors in the deep dermis and subcutis, stabilises the extracellular matrix and activates pericytes.
The day covers the protocols built around the range, including Technique 10/10 (Dr Daniel Díaz Torrado), the skin booster cannula and needle techniques, and Biolifting 5+1.
Fotoage — photobiodynamic therapy
One device, four indications. Fotoage is an HDD (High Density Diode) mask for face and neck, emitting four wavelengths, each paired with a matched Skinox product line:
- Blue (425 nm) with Skinox Blemish — acne-prone skin and imperfections
- Green (530 nm) with Skinox Dark Spots — pigmentation and hyperpigmentation
- Yellow (590 nm) with Skinox Redness — sensitive, reactive and irritated skin
- Red (630 nm) with Skinox Wrinkles — photoaging, collagen and elastin stimulation
It's non-invasive and painless, indicated as an adjuvant post-peel, post-laser, post-IPL and post-carboxytherapy. It also combines with everything else in the range — both Exo Ox and Meso Ox list photobiomodulation with Fotoage and Skinox as a combination modality. That makes it an anchor treatment supporting four patient pathways, not a single-indication add-on.
